In 2001, it was quite natural that I decided to invest in a structure with gites to welcome the tourists also relying on the expertise of Gîtes de France.
Tourism was starting to develop and my parents, who saw all these holiday makers, wanted to sell their farm products: poultry, eggs, garden vegetables, milk from dairy production, but the product that made us known remains undoubtedly the “Cottage cheese” molded in an aluminum heart and covered with a thick crème fraîche.
With the 3CV car, we crisscrossed all the campsites and the seasonal rentals in Erquy to sell our “flagship” product. This experience made us discover the beginnings of the tourism in Erquy. It is also undoubtedly thanks to this very enriching experience in human encounters that our parents decided in the 1980s and at the end of their professional career to open a campsite; also with the aim of having additional income for their retirement.
This new activity monopolized the entire family work force and I personally worked there for 8 years in the summer, along side my salaried activity.
With this tourist experience and when I inherited this beautiful land with sea view in 2001, it was quite natural that I decided to invest in a structure with gites to welcome the tourists also relying on the expertise of Gîtes de France.
The adventure begins in 2005 with the first 4 lodgings and then continues in 2007 with 2 other additional houses. The estate grew in 2010 with the last 4 lodgings and the covered and heated swimming pool allowing us to have a year-round activity.
In 2020, Daphne joined me to help me managing the business and allow me to get some free time.
